Ciprés leylandii 2001

Description:

More upright and foliage more compact than the normal leylandii. With less vigorousness, this leylandii is suitable for creating hedges of lower height and less need for pruning. Like the original species, leylandii (cypress of leyland), supports the wells without problems with an excellent regrowthe capacity providing very tupid hedges.

Climate and soil:

It resists the proximity to the sea, the intense cold (up to -15o), the pollution, the full sun,... in short, we can say that leylandi is an all-terrain that adapts to virtually everything. It has no demands on the ground and is virtually immune to disease and pests.

How much does leylandi grow?

It can reach 25 meters high and 6 meters in diameter (if not pruned).
In some areas of Spain it can grow more than 1 meter per year.

How far away do you plant the leylandi?

To achieve a thick leylandii closure it is advisable to plant them with a separation of 60 cm to 1 meter depending on the height you want to achieve. The higher you want your leyland cypress closure to be, the further apart you must plant it, and on the contrary, if you want to keep your leylandis under plant more together.

What fertiliser does leylandi need?

To improve the rooting of the plant in the field and ensure rapid growth during the first year, we recommend applying, in the planting hole, mixed with the soil, a slow-release fertilizer at a dose of 30 gr. per plant.
